These terms govern your use of the BlackrockMeds website, our online consultation service, and the supply of medicines and other products from our registered pharmacy in Blackrock, Co. Dublin.
Last updated: 30 June 2026
1. Introduction and acceptance of terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and BlackrockMeds Pharmacy Ltd ("BlackrockMeds", "we", "us", or "our") and apply to your use of the website at blackrockmeds.com (the "Site"), our online consultation service, and any products or services we supply to you. By accessing the Site, placing an order, or completing an online consultation, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you do not accept these Terms, please do not use the Site.
2. About BlackrockMeds

Pharmacy registration number (PSI): 10003811
Registered pharmacy address: Ground Floor, 15 George's Ave, Newtown Blackrock, Blackrock, Co. Dublin, A94 RP74, Ireland

Our pharmacy and its pharmacists are bound by the PSI Code of Conduct and applicable Irish and EU medicines legislation, including the Irish Medicines Board Acts, the Medicinal Products (Prescription and Control of Supply) Regulations, and the Pharmacy Act 2007.
3. Use of the website and online consultation service
The Site is provided for personal, non-commercial use by adults resident in the Republic of Ireland. You agree to use the Site lawfully and not to misuse it, including by attempting to gain unauthorised access, transmitting malicious code, scraping content, or interfering with its operation.
Information published on the Site (including condition pages, journal articles, and product information) is for general educational purposes only and is not a substitute for advice from your GP, pharmacist, or other suitably qualified healthcare professional. If you have an urgent medical concern, please contact your GP, attend your nearest Emergency Department, or call 112.
Where you complete an online consultation, you agree to provide complete, accurate, and truthful information about your health, medication, and medical history. We may decline to supply a medicine, request further information, or refer you back to your GP where we consider it clinically appropriate. We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any consultation or order at our discretion in line with our professional and legal obligations.
4. Ordering, payment, and pricing
All prices on the Site are shown in Euro (EUR) and are inclusive of Irish Value Added Tax (VAT) at the applicable rate, where chargeable. Delivery charges, where they apply, are shown separately at checkout.
Placing an order constitutes an offer by you to purchase the relevant product(s) subject to these Terms. A binding contract is formed only when we send you an order confirmation email and, in the case of prescription or pharmacist-supervised medicines, only after our pharmacy team has clinically reviewed and approved the supply.
Payment is processed securely by our payment provider (Stripe). We accept major debit and credit cards and supported digital wallets (such as Apple Pay and Google Pay). We do not store full card details on our servers. While we take reasonable care to ensure prices and product information are accurate, errors may occasionally occur; where this happens we will contact you before dispatch and you may cancel the affected order.
5. Prescription and consultation services
Prescription-only medicines (POM) listed on the Site are made available through an independent prescribing partner, SmartScripts, whose prescribers are registered with the Irish Medical Council or equivalent regulator. Following your online consultation, a SmartScripts prescriber will independently assess your suitability for treatment and, if appropriate, issue a private prescription. BlackrockMeds Pharmacy Ltd is the dispensing pharmacy and is responsible for the clinical check, dispensing, labelling, and supply of the medicine.
The decision to issue a prescription rests solely with the prescriber. The decision to dispense rests solely with our pharmacy team. Neither is guaranteed by placing an order or paying a consultation fee. Where a consultation does not result in treatment, the cost of the medicine is refunded; consultation or assessment fees, where charged, may be retained to cover the clinical time involved.
You must not share, resell, or give to any other person any medicine supplied to you, and you must use medicines strictly in accordance with the dispensing label and the patient information leaflet.
6. Delivery and shipping
We deliver within the Republic of Ireland. Standard delivery is charged at a flat rate of €5.00 per order and is free of charge for orders with a subtotal at or above €50.00. Orders are typically dispatched within one business day of clinical approval and arrive within 1–3 business days via our courier partner. Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed.
Where available, you may choose to collect your order from our pharmacy at the address above. You will receive an email notification when your order is ready for collection. Collection is subject to presentation of suitable photo identification where required for medicines.
Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery (or on collection). Please inspect your order on arrival and contact us promptly if anything is missing, damaged, or incorrect.
7. Returns and medicines disposal
For reasons of patient safety and Irish medicines law, dispensed medicines cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded once they have left our pharmacy, except where the product is faulty, damaged on arrival, or supplied in error. Unwanted or expired medicines should be returned to any community pharmacy for safe disposal under the DUMP (Dispose of Unused Medicines Properly) scheme.
Non-medicine products (such as skincare and general healthcare items) may be returned in line with your statutory rights and our returns policy. Full details, including time limits and how to request a return, are set out on our returns policy page.
8. Intellectual property
The Site and its content (including text, graphics, logos, images, photographs, software, and the BlackrockMeds name and brand) are owned by or licensed to BlackrockMeds Pharmacy Ltd and are protected by Irish, EU, and international intellectual property laws. You may view, download, and print pages from the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not otherwise copy, reproduce, republish, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit any part of the Site without our prior written consent.
9. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for defective products under the Liability for Defective Products Act 1991, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded under Irish law (including your statutory rights as a consumer).
Subject to the above, we will not be liable to you for any loss of profits, loss of business, loss of anticipated savings, or for any indirect or consequential loss arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site or the supply of any product, and our total liability to you in respect of any order shall not exceed the price paid by you for that order.
We take reasonable steps to keep the Site secure and available, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or free from errors, viruses, or other harmful components. The Site and its educational content are provided "as is" and without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter (including non-contractual disputes), are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland. You and we both agree that the courts of Ireland shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim, save that nothing in these Terms restricts your rights as a consumer to bring proceedings in your country of residence where applicable.
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue. You may also be entitled to use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
