- LOPERAMIDESlows down overactive bowel movement, allowing more water and salts to be reabsorbed, resulting in firmer, less frequent stools.
Adults: 2 capsules/tablets initially, then 1 after each loose stool, maximum 8 in 24 hours. Maintain adequate fluid intake throughout.
